Who is God?
God the Creator
The Bible starts with God’s first action, the creation of the heavens and the earth.
[Gen 1:1 NKJV] “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
The first chapter of Genesis details the incredible creation of our universe, right down to humanity. The first three verses of the Gospel of John also give us a quick summary of that creation from a slightly different perspective.
[Jhn 1:1-3 NKJV] 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
In Job 38-42, God gives Job a four-chapter science lesson on the creation of the universe. In it, God describes creating the heavens and the earth, light and darkness, stretching out the heavens and more.
