1. Ephesus
He the Has an Ear, Hear What the Spirit Says to the Churches
The placement of this statement prior to the Promise to the Overcomer is similar to the 2nd and 3rd churches, but differs from the last four. In the first three churches, it is before the Promise to the Overcomer. In the last four it is after.
A possibility for this difference is that the first 3 churches are no longer around today and the last four are. Just something to consider!
The Promise to the Overcomer
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.” (Rev 2:7)
The overcomer will be granted access to eat from the tree of life. Is this the way we will have eternal life? Or is this for the survivors of the great tribulation that are in their unglorified bodies during the Millennial Kingdom and this is how they will life a very long lifespan? Could it be both?
